除非能够提供实质性的价值，否则大批量的学院和大学可能会出现规模性的衰退。免费的选择越来越多：大学课程、MOOC(大规模课程)、开放课程、免费在线文凭、免费或几乎免费的学位选择等等。由于兴趣和成本的下降以及更多的在线学习机会，接下来的5年可能是40年来获得法学院或商学院研究生入学资格最容易的5年。

职业教育的兴起：

职业教育不只是培养学员拥有某种技能或特长的教育，还注重培养学员的就业本领，注重学员就业后的发展。社会经济的发展与职业教育密切相关，进而影响到社会竞争力。职业教育的发展有经济化的性质，这决定了职业教育应该考虑经济的需要，为社会的经济发展和生产力提升服务。职业教育发展紧密对接行业企业与区域产业需求，与产业发展息息相关。

Trends to Watch In recent years, we are looking at a fast-changing world of trade, technology, security, education, and politics. There are key trends that are evolving rapidly and peoples are having trouble keeping up with the new rules and new paradigms. Economies can change overnight due to rules, population safety, laws, sovereign risk, conflicts, politics, and even wars.. On the other hand, our education and training system is undergoing unprecedented changes.

Brick and Mortar Education Decline: 

Colleges and universities may crumble in size or fail unless value is provided. There is an ever expanding number of free options: college courses, MOOCS (Massive Courses), open courses, free online diplomas, free or almost free degree options and more. These last 5 years may be the easiest in 40 years to obtain admission into a graduate school for law or business due to declining interest and costs and greater elearning opportunities. 

The rise of vocational education:

Vocational education is not only to train students to have certain skills or special skills, but also to train students' employment skills and pay attention to the development of students after employment. The development of social economy is closely related to vocational education, and then affects the social competitiveness. The development of vocational education has the nature of economy, which determines that vocational education should consider the needs of the economy and serve for the economic development of the society and the promotion of productivity.
